What the site is
MaritimeJobFinder publishes vacancies for seafarers and information about companies that hire them, and offers free accounts for seafarers and companies. We are not an employer, a crewing agency or a recruiter, and we are not a party to any agreement between a seafarer and a company.
Vacancies and company information
- Vacancies are provided by companies or collected from public sources. We check them, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is correct or that a vacancy is still open.
- Always confirm the terms of a job directly with the company before you sign a contract or travel.
- A vacancy that asks seafarers for money is not allowed on this site. Read the scam warning.
Free for seafarers, optional Gold
Searching and applying for jobs, a profile and a CV are free for seafarers. Optional paid tools (Gold) are never a condition for a job and give no priority with employers.
Accounts
- Give a real email address and keep your password secret. One account per person or company.
- You can delete your account at any time in your account page; your profile and CV are deleted at once.
- We may block an account that breaks these terms, for example by publishing fake vacancies or misusing seafarers' contacts.
Companies
A company confirms that its details and vacancies are real, that it has the right to recruit, and that it does not charge seafarers fees for recruitment or placement. We check companies before their vacancies go live. Verified companies may see profiles of seafarers who chose to be visible and may use those contacts only to offer a job. We may edit, refuse or remove any vacancy or company page.
Acceptable use
Do not copy the site's content in bulk, send automated requests that load the site, or try to access parts of the site that are not public.
Liability
The site is provided as it is. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for losses caused by relying on vacancies or company information published here, or by temporary unavailability of the site.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
